Representative of the European Society of Veterinary Neurology (ESVN), Resident in Neurology and Neurosurgery (UGent), Chartered Scientist by the Science council (UK), Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
Graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) in 2010. After completing his small animal rotating internship at Queen's Veterinary School Hospital at the University of Cambridge (UK), he worked in general and emergency private practice in the UK and also completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Advanced Neuroimaging at the University College London (UCL) Institute of Neurology (UK) with a primary research project the use of fMRI/EEG for detecting the epileptogenic zone in humans eligible for epilepsy surgery. Marios Charalambous worked and completed his initial training in Neurology at Cornell University (USA) before joining Ghent University (Belgium) in September 2016. Marios Charalambous has a strong academic background and significant research interest as well as several high-impact publications in the field of epilepsy treatment. He participated in multiple training programs and courses hold by Universities within the UK and USA, including UC Davis, Iowa State University and Royal Veterinary College (UK), all with strong neurology service. He has also achieved the ESVPS post-graduate Certificate in Neurology after attending courses, writing thesis and passing exams. He was recognized as a Chartered Scientist by the Science Council (UK) and as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) after completing relevant courses at the Royal Veterinary College (UK).

Veterinary Degree at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Lisbon. Master in Clinical Ethology and Animal Welfare at the Faculty of Veterinary from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. PhD in Veterinary Science at the Institute of Biomedical Science Abel Salazar in O’Porto. Diplomate by the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine, in both subspecialties (AWSEL and BM). Director of the Center for Animal Knowledge (Centro para o Conhecimento Animal). Professor of Animal Behaviour&Training and Animal Welfare in Escola Superior Agrária de Elvas from Instituto Politécnico de Portalegre. Lecturer in different Faculties on Behavioural Medicine, Animal Welfare and Ethics. Trainer and speaker in Seminars, Conferences and Congresses national and internationally. Author, Co-author, and Coordinator of several studies in animal behavior and welfare in Portugal.

During 2014-2017, he was resident of the European College of Veterinary Pathology (ECVP) at the University of Milan (Italy), and in February 2018, following an extremely difficult examination at the University of Gent (Belgium), before a commission of European specialists in the field of veterinary pathology, became Diplomat ECVP, the first European specialist in veterinary pathology in Romania. In June 2018, he was nominated Ambassador of the European Cancer Study Society (EACR). He currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Pathological Anatomy, Necropsy Diagnosis and Forensic Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, USAMV Cluj-Napoca.

Steven is Senior lecturer and the current Head of the Neurology and Neurosurgery service. He graduated in 2005 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ghent University in Belgium. After graduation, he performed there a 1-year Rotating Internship and a 4-year PhD into the diagnosis and treatment of disk associated cervical spondylomyelopathy ("wobbler syndrome") in dogs. Steven arrived in July 2010 at the RVC to complete a Senior Clinical Training Scholarship in Neurology and Neurosurgery. After becoming an European and MRCVS recognised specialist in veterinary neurology, Steven became a permanent staff member of the RVC Neurology and Neurosurgery team.
